ellum audio continues on a strong run of form with their fifth release, this time from london underground hero, eric volta. the purveyor of dark, lean house and techno returns with believe, featuring uk hip-hop hero d.ablo on vocals. with remixes from ellum family members danny daze & odd parents, as well as tennis, this is a release poised for some serious summer selection.
russian house queen nina kraviz executed a mass seduction with her deep and sexy, spaced out debut lp on rekids earlier this year. now the label drops the single aus featuring a trio of stirring remixes by legends dj qu, the rhythm odyssey and of course, matthew edwards aka radio slave.
never not working, elef well deserved has become one of the closest watched talents in the deep house scene. born half greek / half supermodel the berlin based producer has dropped some remarkable releases on dirt crew, murmur and hypercolour. in an act of reciprocal affection elef and carry on joined forces to create the lovely nuff said ep, soon to be available on limited coloured vinyl. the ep kicks off with black hole featuring elefs signature melodramatic chord structure, some quirky percussion and a captivating motown vocal sample. the incredible gerd remix will end up in a lot of record cases, a dancefloor no brainer! on the flip nuff said incorporates an old school bassline with those beautiful emotional chords again. the ambitious uk trio zoo look strips it all back to what deep house really is nowadays, a groovy squarebass and atmospheric pads.
roundabout sounds is back in 2012 with a project that was over a year in the making. the power ep is a tribute to the late aaron-carl that contains the last track he made before he left us. as a result, we gathered a handful of supporting artists to put together this double-vinyl (only) project. rest in peace aaron-carl and thank you for the memories!

jmx makes his second appearance for us after his remix on the atapy ep last year. also known as one half of belfast duo jet project, jmxs solo project takes influence from everything from old mood ii swing records to modern day bass music creating a raw sound that is completely his own.
we have got a few remixes on this one: first up is krl, on loan from the excellent wolf music, with a deeper take of >on u<. moscows s.k.a.m. turns in a remix ahead of his debut ep for us in july (more on that soon).
a time machine appeared to us recently in a cloud of smoke and a giant portal of light. out of the portal a smoking piece of futuristic metal emerged and fell onto our floor. closer examination revealed it to be a time capsule sent from the future. a message from the year 2043, it contained diagrams of futuristic machines from what looks to have been the studio sessions of the recordings presented here. here is what we found, a 2 track ep (plus remixes) from artists from the future. recordings made 21 years from now but from artists who you may have already heard of today.
francesco lenza coming back on his label with a amazing techno bomb >stu kazz and loft<! the remix of dave ellesmere (microfunk) in a pure deep style completes the relase confirming 6th studio as one of the most interesting new label. plays by tolga fidan, len faki, mihalis safras, alex smoke...
qepo is back with a really cool release from the young talent gianluca luisi, 2 super energy tracks and on the b side a huge remix from neapolitan duo tony matt & sasha carassi..

another fantastic split-double-vinyl on nachtstrom, this time produced by ant prescott (aka tony montana) and brood audio labelhead erphun. huge banging techno tracks especially destilled for the late hours!
for its 35th release, be as one continues to keep its unique trademark sound, and this time the israeli imprint has looked in its own backyard to find the goods. magit cacoon, dj and producer, tel aviv born and berlin resident, and popsled, israeli duo composed of guy astrogano and niv konforty land on be as one with higher point, which brings a classic house mood on the dance floor, with its very hypnotic vocal, the big bassline and driving groove. greek house star argy is an apt remixer for this type of track and indeed, no surprise he delivers a storming remix that again hints a lot to the classic sounds of house and techno. detroit legend rolando closes the package with his techno takes on the tune, a rather hypnotic version, bass infected and driven by rolandos trademark drums patterns.
on le rire ep jared wilson (7777 - skudge / detroit) leads the way with a pest chicago-house inspired rework, devilishly and deliciously analog without whittling down to a mere old-school homage, a sort of us-acid-dubstep version of addison groove, with a taste of slacker jak-beat for the nirvana generation! a melodic decomposer, scottish dam mantle (warp - ghostly international / glasgow) deceitfully feigns to mellow with what could at first glance seem like an edit. however deep excavations into the intense choir of >voyage vers l harmonie< leads to a surreal confrontation between a slum village like beat and a post-industrial version of melody nelson. thundery atmospheres, slippery slopes… the best way to pay tribute to luc marianni. famous for his duo as well as his label syncom data, nukubus (bunker / rotterdam) is nonetheless an inspired soloist, as this breathtaking remix once again proves. the 11 minutes long krautrock tunnel leaves many envious of its authenticity and sheer technical virtuosity. this swirling reinterpretation of mariannis work manages to leave the original behind and come into its own. its out of respect for the original work that nukubus requested to be credited only as a remixer. if youve bothered to read the few lines above, please remember it is both easier and wiser to form your own opinion with the vinyl in your own two hands. please note that the distribution of these eps will be accompanied by some very limited original editions of luc mariannis vinyls
the title track has kenny larkin vibes, with the max d style cosmic twists we love down here. slick is sick too! features a remix from another certified hemp eater, terekke, who amazed us with awesome white label on l.i.e.s. last year ... killer package on this excellent label.
anhura vinyls debut in the exclusive and acclaimed vinyl edition is, as it was expected, a complete success. max chapman & aj christou are in charge of gruds & kecks. this release starts with a moderate disco house nearly background melody at some points, and evolves into more tech grounds which plunge us directly in a deep, retro-spatial sphere. a place where this electronic and bass sounds coming from the 80s and 90s provide it with amazing timelessness whenever it is heard. it is an uncommon release diverging from the mainstream and ideal to start a completely promising series.
introducing more care and less hate! this next amazing frequenza vinyl release includes the original, sweet song from more care and remixes from less hate, nihil young, alex delia! supported from butch, umek, arjun vagale, danny tenaglia, tim richards, spartaque, slam, eric tarlouf mand many other!
elektrik dreams music presents her first vinyl record edmvin001 from analog trip plus remixers. 1996 was a successful year for them, because they became well known in every part of greece back then with their single >house hit u like that<. this time they decided to show a more melancholic and deep remix of an unreleased track from 1999, named >declaration of silence< and they present it through a series of remixes of established artists and active persons of electronic scene such as : ilias katelanos, george apergis & vgo and christian paduraru.
first pressing is numbered and limited to 134 units packed in special covers!
the brand new single from international hot spurs ogris debris featuring ken hayakawa. ogris debris are famous for their appearances on compost black label, made to play, rotary cocktail, affine and of course their great collaboration with the swiss house superstars round table knights. the maxi also includes a stunning remix coming from the newcomer project called sacco vanzetti duo who just released their debut ep on the fresh gomma imprint toy tonics.
counter pulse stays substantial to the underground model & presents a mysterious alias by the scandinavian artist lodbrok. in contrast to other vinyl labels today counter pulse show no agenda to pick up the current trends and safe-name remixers to gain quick sales. feukt call ep is precisely all that in a nicely shaped up four tracker release including a remix by henning baer from sonic groove, plus a remix from and from black sun records. ponderous irregular rhythms with a focus on erosion & intense hi-hat patterns with cautiously arranged stabs is what this ep is all about.
support from: laurent garnier, luciano, chris carrier, dj. t, karotte, martin landsky, anthony collins, james what, butch, mr.g, joseph capriati, daniel sanchez, toni rios, cesare vs disorder, ambivalent, todd bodine, kabale und liebe, david labeij, mihai popoviciu, salvatore freda and more
the 1st of two stunning 12 inches from this chicago house producer features cuts from his legacy of the know cd as well as a couple of unreleased remixes. you get the original versions of funky disco fusion and 7th trumpet from his cd plus the brand new unreleased jose carretas remix of you are love and the cvo slum mix of i am not in love.
thats what the world needs ...... love
the title pretty much sums the vibe up on this one, we all need to give a lil more love in our lives everyday to make it a better world. we are super excited about this new project as we welcome back yotam avni after his debut release earlier this year on seasons limited titled >time 2 go< featuring guy baron which took the world by storm with remixes from charles webster & piahnahead.
yotam has brought us another massive vocal project featuring the powerful vocals from chris dockins that has timeless stamped all over them ... we have called on terrence parker and matthew bandy for the remix duties for this one, both mixes have a place to make this world a better place.
enjoy the music and remember to play this record loud!

we have always been a fan of pablo bolivars sound. he already did a track on curle018 and we are glad to have him back on board for a double ep this time. in the meantime he released an album (as pulshar) & ep on loco dices desolat label, did remixes for audision, mikkel metal & scsi-9, and continued to run his own avantroots imprint.

JUNGLE DOGS, JUNGLE BONES (PRINS THOMAS / TIAGO RMXS)
12 Inch 12.06.12
secret circuit, having been knighted by tastemaker tim sweeney by releasing their first 12? on his beats in space imprint, seriously run the voodoo down with this intense jam:jungle drums, spellbinding exotic chants once obstinately nesting in your head once you heard them, cheeping, bleeping and tweeting dub noises messing with your sense of orientation, gyrating guitar chords in a my bloody valentine style and between all this wonderful sonic chaos a slightly latin jazz tinged piano breaks its way. a beautiful maze of a track where you easily can get lost in for the rest of this summer. on the flip portugals tiago accentuates the cosmic rock vibe throwing in an aggressive guitar riff that sounds very much like chicagos im a man and prins thomas chucks the looser jam-like first part of the original over board and bundles the psychedelic elements to a breathlessly, constantly intensifying pressure cooker.
little is known about the norwegian bunny & bear duo known simply as the glue. their last appearance with us came courtesy of kolour ltd and we knew right then that these boys were in-store for their own ep with us and we are pleased to announce that it has finally come to fruition.
remix duties see the return of the incomparable dead rose music company to the kolour fray. he takes the title track and rubs it into a chunky piece of dancefloor business that has without a doubt turned into one of our favorite remixes to date.
we here at the kolour recordings family of labels cannot express just how much we appreciate your continued support. for all the gig spins, various chart support, podcast plays, and reviews .. from the bottom of our hearts .. we thank you very much.
around 3 weeks before the release of oliver deutschmanns double cd slim audio wax01 comes as an appetizer for that multimediapackage. we see the brilliant christopher rau and moomin team up for the drum fuelled deepness of a place at night, deutschmann himself at his most retrospective in tourist crap and milton bradley delivers his experimental and sick interpretation of oliver deutschmanns tourist crap track. oldschool techno and house all the way. enjoy!
bliq are proud to present bliq05:nicuris paradigms fresh out of union city, ny. the paradigms of which nicuri speaks are darkness, deliverance and determination, modal expressions delivered on three cuts of resonant electronic music. on doldrums nicuri plays with paradox, combining staggered, dreamy synths with unnerving bass rumbles. to reinvigorate the doldrums, or as he puts it replenish the earth, the producer implements a menacing analog rumble in the style of new york greats dj qu and joey anderson. but to ensure that the ground is re-imbued with rational vitality, nicuri adds a layer of baroscopic viscosity: smog surrounds and engulfs, a suppressed vocal intermittently choking. on the flip, parrish adams – aka intrinsic of emphasis records in chicago – gives the earth an even harder, more insistent techno edge. he introduces melodic light flashes at the edges of urban darkness, and rumbles it like a train escaping grand central station. bliq05 is on the run.
coming up on claap we welcome a new name on the label.bodj is an upcoming producer from athens (gr).a fresh face in the scene, bodj has already had a couple of releases under his belt and caused some serious heat with his blisters ep back in 2010!every day is an easy and very classy house cut. quite emotive with flowing rhythm patterns,it is an ode to every day lovin!on the remix duties, these days afficionado and man of the moment argy takes the track into a sweatier territory with his nyc dub mix.while, the love mix explores a more romantic side of the original track.label head gummihz rounds up the package with a bubbly night fever mix.a filtered disco house take, reminiscent of french house in the late 90s.top tip!
we are proud to welcome simple & thigpen (aka helix) from detroit & a small town in southeast georgia on ilian tape for their first collaboration eva. as peanut butter is a national dish in the usa since ages, every real american knows how to lick and swallow it the perfect way. so here we go with a 134 bpm swangler that funks from your backyard trying to get your arm hard while you are playing a bit of dart! freak seven from manchester is transforming the original from ying to yang through adding his personal slang while designing men strings with jewelry for alexander wang. and last but not least the zenker brothers adding their incomparable dust in which you all hopefully trust. hugs & slugs from the bavarian headquarters of love.
as one half of the iconic house music duo h foundation and a revered producer and dj in his own right, halo needs no introduction. his surface imprint promises to deliver deep electronic music that retains a classic feel and its maiden release is just that. marascos >cloudy< is heavy set house music with an irresistible hypnotic quality. a rock steady bottom end drives the drum track as percussive elements and tribalesque vocals drop in and out of the mix. highly functional dancefloor material. on remix duties the legendary dj sneak adds his trademark infectious energy to proceedings, inserting a funky basssline and jackin percussion to great effect. halos surface remix showcases his production prowess with heavy processing on the vocals and percussion resulting in an organic rolling tech house work-out. rounding off the ep danilo vigorito provides a brooding tech house take on >cloudy< that will cater for the more discerning floors. surface begins as it means to go on.
